pinto (coach pitch)
The pinto league is for players 7 to 8 years of age. Your child's "softball age" is determined by their age on January 1 for the season in which they are participating. This league is often referred to as the "coach pitch" league. Spring teams are formed through a draft process at this age, making coaching requests very difficult to accommodate; however, every registered girl is placed on a team. No one is eliminated due to their ability. Players use an 11 inch softball. Game schedules are typically not available until the week prior to the start of the season. Spring games do not begin until after Spring Break and the season will end before summer vacation starts. Fall games begin in September and end prior to Thanksgiving. Minimal travel may be involved for away games to places like Leander-Cedar Park, Balcones, Round Rock, and Georgetown. Games may be held on any weeknight or Saturdays. Sunday is reserved in case additional make up days are needed due to bad weather. For additional questions, please contact our Pinto commissioner. Basic League Information
