Town and Country softball divisions and age requirements are governed by Pony rules. Because fall softball is considered “off season” and a time for learning, it is normal for girls planning on playing softball in the Spring season to begin to make the transition to the next level in the preceding fall. Because of this, our league registration system is set to put girls into their age appropriate division for the Spring season, as this will accommodate most player requests. If a parent feels that their child would do better playing in their official Pony age division for the fall, they can make that request on their registration or to any board member before team formation and those will be honored. If a parent would like to request that their child play in an older age division, those requests should also be made on their registration and/or to a board member. Because of safety concerns, those requests can only be honored after a player evaluation has been made to insure reasonable safety for those players.
