T&C Softball 2014

What makes us THE premiere Austin-area softball program

Family Friendly Environment

  • Our goal is to provide a safe, FUN, nurturing environment where girls have a positive experience each time out on the field.
  • Parent involvement is highly encouraged in everything from board participation, to coaching, to team social events and cheering on the girls at each and every game.

Emphasis on Player Development vs. Winning Games

  • At T&C, our mission is to develop these girls into confident young ladies both on and off the field.  What we teach during the softball season can be carried over into all aspects of their lives including teamwork, perseverance and maintaining a positive attitude.
  • A thorough player draft is conducted at the start of each season to ensure that teams are equally divided in teams of player strength and experience.
  • Complimentary skills clinics are providied at the start of the season as well as throughout the season.  T&C has partnered with several of the top high school softball programs in the area to provide hands on training for our spring players during these clinics.

Dedicated Coaches

  • Most of our coaches will also be active participants in the T&C Softball Board which means they are able to directly communicate parent and player concerns, feedback, etc. during monthly meetings and throughout the season.  We are committed to making your experience with our softball program a positive one!
  • In addition to parent volunteer coaches, T&C will leverage our new partnerships with some of the top high school softball programs in the area to provide a quality coaching experience this spring.  High school players will be assisting each of the head coaches this season during practices and games.
  • Our softball coaches continue to return nearly every season as they are committed to the continued success of T&C Softball.

Proven Track Record

  • T&C has developed some outstanding player and team talent throughout the history of the softball program.
  • In addition to our standard recreational league teams, we have also developed “open” teams that compete against some of the top teams in Central Texas.  These girls have gone on to be very successful in their high school softball careers and beyond!

Town and Country Softball provides girls ages 5 through 16 the opportunity to play recreational league softball. There are five age appropriate leagues. These include:

Town and Country softball divisions and age requirements are governed by Pony rules.  Because fall softball is considered “off season” and a time for learning, it is normal for girls planning on playing softball in the Spring season to begin to make the transition to the next level in the preceding fall.  Because of this, our league registration system is set to put girls into their age appropriate division for the Spring season, as this will accommodate most player requests.  If a parent feels that their child would do better playing in their official Pony age division for the fall, they can make that request on their registration or to any board member before team formation and those will be honored.  If a parent would like to request that their child play in an older age division, those requests should also be made on their registration and/or to a board member.  Because of safety concerns, those requests can only be honored after a player evaluation has been made to insure reasonable safety for those players.
